Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information Elite Roofing Cumbria Limited collects through this website, why we collect it, and what happens to it afterwards.
Who we are

What we collect
We only collect what we need to respond to an enquiry and quote for roofing work. Through the enquiry form that is your name, your contact telephone number or email address, the town or postcode of the property, and the description of the roofing problem or work you provide.
If you call or email us directly, we hold the contact details and the details of the job you give us on that call or in that message.
Why we use it
- To contact you about the enquiry you sent us.
- To arrange a roof assessment, drone inspection or site visit.
- To prepare and send a written quotation.
- To carry out and record the work, including the before-and-after photographs we take of your roof.
- To meet our legal, insurance and accounting obligations.
The lawful bases we rely on are your consent when you send an enquiry, and our legitimate interest in running and evidencing our roofing work. Where a contract for work is agreed, we process your information to perform that contract.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information and we do not pass it to marketing lists. We may share it with suppliers, scaffolding contractors or specialist sub-contractors where that is needed to carry out your job, and with our insurers, accountants or professional advisers where we are required to.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become work are kept only as long as needed to follow them up. Records relating to completed roofing work, including photographs and invoices, are kept for the period required for guarantee, insurance and tax purposes.
Drone inspections
Drone roof inspections produce photographs and video of the roof and the immediate property. Those images are used to diagnose the roof, to evidence the condition to you or your insurer, and, only where you give separate permission, as examples of our work. Flights are planned to avoid capturing neighbouring properties or people beyond what is unavoidable, and any such incidental footage is not used or published.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. If analytics or other third-party tools are added in future, this policy will be updated before they go live and a cookie notice will be shown.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it, and object to how we use it. Contact us using the details above and we will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
